TILT # 2: Perspective matters.

I am celebrating another year of life today. Although I had a rotten start to the day, I am thankful that recent years of practising gratitude equipped me enough to stop my attitude from going from bad to worse.

Change is inevitable. Change of plans. Change of destination. Change of dreams. Sometimes change happens because of my own doing. Other times, external forces cause changes beyond my control. What is always in my control however, is my attitude.

My perspective.

I can choose to be better or choose to be bitter. I can choose to stay defeated or I can choose to rise above. I can choose to put down or I can choose to build up. I always have a choice. I may not like certain choices but I always have a choice. What I choose reflects who I truly am. I choose to think the best, not assume the worst. I choose to give thanks for what I have, not mourn for what I have not. I choose to get up when I fall, not stay down, defeated. I choose to rest to regain my strength, instead of quit the rest of the journey. You can choose how you respond to life.

What you choose is a reflection of who you are on the inside.

As you adjust to the changing colours of your life, may you remain the person you were originally designed to be.
