You will have some good days. You will have some bad days. A word of advice for your bad days. Be mindful of how you treat those around you. Especially the people who have been your cheerleaders, who are generous with giving you their time and their talents. They are the ones who stay when the whole world disappears. You know those? You see their faces? Yeah, them.
These people will cut you plenty of slack and will most likely choose to understand your bad mood or lousy attitude when life is tough. However, a tough life is no excuse for crapping on your cheerleaders over and over again. Do not bite the hand that feeds you. And don't be allergic to learning. You do not know everything. None of us do. Not at 20. Not at 30. Not even at 50! Have a teachable spirit no matter how old you are. Please.
May your circle be filled with people who are in a position to help you be fearless about learning and about looking stupid and ignorant. We all have our blind spots. At 20, at 30 and yes, at 50. Heck! Our blind spots don't define us. How we handle revelation of our blind spots might....
Don't mistreat the people who love and support you. Many will take it. But not forever.
